Sometimes being reminded of the past can be painful.

Only sometimes? That's pretty lucky in a way. I mean -- not that I'm embarrassed by past-me. I was just cursed with an ungodly, uncontainable amount of awesome.

But when you say the past, do you mean the last couple of years at camp, or the past-past, like.. before you became a facilitator here?

[Technically he knows the answer to this, but then again... he doesn't really know much about Red at all.]

[It's a gentle warning, since he has been very sweet today, but a warning nonetheless.]

What I am curious about is why you suddenly want to know about my past.

[He puts his hands up in mock surrender.]

Ok, ok, you got me, Red. I'm prying a little. A lot.

[A beat and his tone softens significantly.]

...but to be honest? It's because you're the first girl -- woman that I've upset like that and I don't want to do it again. Usually it's "LANCE!" [>c face for emphasis!!] or "Lance." [ -_- face.]

[Okay, she's smiling a little at that. Because Lance is so earnest and it's hard to not find that adorable.]

How old are the women you usually upset?

Uh.. like ten thousand years old?

...Wait that sounds wrong, gah. I mean Allura's like my age, but she was in cryostasis for ten thousand years or something nutty like that so she's like a young ten thousand something years old. You'd never be able to tell by looking at her.

I think I understand what you're getting at. Despite being technically ten thousand years old, she's still a teenager, right?
