. . . the voice in our heads told us to kill if we wished to have our powers back. I imagine our "power swap" is related to whatever infection we all have.
I'd like to ask a question about that, if you don't mind. If you have a moment.
The other day, you warned Ren away from burning the time out shack because "something" might scream. When I approached him about this, he stated he couldn't tell me what he meant because you asked him to keep it a secret.
[oh thank god, "living camp" feels better than "living planet."]
[on the whole, though, she's handling this quite well]
At one point in my life, I might have insisted that such a thing was impossible.
Ren also mentioned something about believing that the rocks were in places other then us. And taking that in conjugation with what Talcott attempted to communicate today-- if that was, indeed, Talcott. . .
[the gears in her mind are spinning, and although the conclusions she reaches are unfavorable, she states them all with a chilling calmness]
Is this camp. . . comprised entirely of the creature that infected us? And is this creature simply an organic being perhaps being studied by the organization for which you work?

Date: 2018-06-26 06:13 pm (UTC)It's true. Although my weakness is fire, when we aren't taking Shadows into account, my bufu skills do make me effective at extinguishing flames.
This is a. . . curious event. How on Earth were our powers swapped in the first place?

[. . .]
What did you tell him?

Date: 2018-06-27 07:34 pm (UTC)Think about it. Why would something scream if it was on fire?

So, what do you think Ren is keeping quiet?

Date: 2018-06-27 07:56 pm (UTC)That's what I'm not certain of just yet. Is it simply the camp, and camp buildings that are alive? Or perhaps. . . it's the entire planet?

Are we meant to be "food?"

...actually, I'm not sure if it could be called 'organic' or not.

Does this living fossil have a name?
