You've heard it enough from me at this point, so I'll just let it slide.
[He'll take a seat and balance his plate on his lap, then. He's eaten in worse positions.
And then he awkwardly sits there, eating because he has no goddamn idea how to talk to her without putting his foot in his mouth and ruining everything again.]
[She already knows what he's like, so she's going to eat at least some of the food before breaking the silence. She might as well have at least a partially-full stomach before any potential fights.]
