I hate... all the ways you've forced us into becoming your sacrifices. All the ways you claim to protect us while throwing some to the wolves. You say you want us to live, but only the lucky survive here.
You're treating us like fools.
[And oh, how he loathes it.]
In spite of everything, how many times do I have to ask? Should I beg? Bow my head so far it touches the ground?
I hate everything you've done to us. But if we're going to get them back, we need you-- and we need you to take us seriously instead of just assuming you know what's best for us.
[He's a proud, proud child. But in the face of something like this, even he knows when to bend.]
So listen to us when we try to tell you the ways you can help us save everyone.
[Yes, that's what Red is going with. Because honestly, she doesn't have much she can say for the rest.]
You can't. You can save as many as possible, but there will always be a cost. There will always be sacrifices- not living sacrifices, but sacrificing time. Sacrificing resources. Sacrificing opportunities. Even if it is possible, and every dead camper is revived, there's still a cost to that. If not in lives, then in something else.
You can't keep pushing and pushing and then suddenly everything turns out exactly the way you want it to. Everything has a cost. And right now I'm trying to make it so we pay as little as possible for as much as possible.
I'm not abandoning them. I'm just not letting myself say 'but maybe' when it's very likely that saving everyone from previous years as well will be too costly to justify.
And how do you know how much we've been sacrificing? How much they've been sacrificing, on their side, trying desperately to reach us.
Have you even considered the possibility? Does it scare you that much? That maybe their souls are all still there, that maybe they could have been saved, but you didn't look? Didn't listen?
If you're going to abandon them, [abandon Boa] you at least owe it to them to hear their words before you do.
Yes, of course it scares me! I never hated any of you!
[This year, at least.]
I want them back more than anything! I don't want to leave them behind to face whatever the rock spirit might want to do with them! But I'm already selling my soul to the devil just for the chance to save the twenty-eight of you from this year! There's just not enough left of me to offer up as a sacrifice for more than that!
Because intentions mean nothing. Results do. And since I can't promise you beyond certainty that I can get results, then I shouldn't get your hopes up with intentions.

You mentioned her name along with others to me, once. You want to see them all again too, don't you?

How many times do we have to tell you so you won't abandon them?

You know my past. You know what I'm trying to do.

If we know your intent, we can try to learn what you need to know ourselves.
Unless you're trying to suggest any one of us here is going to be able to pull off a miracle alone.

Seeing as how it will take about ten miracles for this to work? Definitely not.

[He's... probably feeling a little bit better at least, if he can make a joke like that.]
A good number of us have powers of our own that we can put to use as well.
