Someone a long, long time ago. Someone with good intentions but a terrible situation to deal with.

That situation was in the past. It's different now, but traces of what had to happen then are still around.

Because Dan was obsessed with it and appears to be made of it. They found what looked like a piece of it rooted in Soma's brain, too.

Dan was no golem. What was he really?

[The space around Red distorts suddenly, like it usually does when she uses her powers, but this time, in the blink of an eye, Mitsuru will find himself pinned to the ground face-down.]

...I had hoped you wouldn't need it.

[And then he'll feel the prick of a needle going into the back of his neck. Within seconds, everything will go black.

Mitsuru will wake up on a couch in the rec room some time later. He will not recall the conversation he just had with Red. As far as he will remember, he went looking for Red but couldn't find her.]
