All of this. Running the camp, working as a Counselor, executing people. Why are you doing it?

Because it has to be me. Anyone else wouldn't do it right.

Is there some reason why you can't just tell us things, or do you just enjoy being cryptic?

Trust me, I would rather just outright tell all of you. But I have my reasons for not doing so.

That...is difficult to answer.

I want the camp to close, but right now the alternative would be much, much worse.

...What's the alternative?

Is something bad going to happen if the sacrifices stop?

I can't talk about that. Just know that I only go along with this because it's the best option we have available.

You understand why I can't agree with that, right? Even... even if this is somehow necessary, there's got to be a better way to do it.

You're welcome to think what you like. I wouldn't be murdering children if I had another choice, though.

...Yeah. I get that you're not exactly doing this willingly, so I'm sorry. And I really can't judge you when I don't have any idea what the circumstances are.

I just... can't agree with something like this. Not when so many people are getting hurt.

My hope for you is that you are able to leave camp without ever finding out why we have to do things this way.

How do you expect anyone to make it out of here with their sanity intact if we have to go through eight weeks of watching people get slaughtered without even knowing why?
