Who was Facilitator before you?

A very unpleasant man, one who decided that the best way to run camp was to be cruel to the kids and scare them into attacking each other. He didn't like being here either, but he preferred to end camp as quickly as possible so he could go home.

Just the fact that I want to stay here. I could leave at any time.

Last time you asked me if I was stuck here, and I said 'technically no'. Now you know what the technically means: I could leave, but I don't want to leave.

I enjoy spending time with the campers and doing camp activities with them.

You can guess the parts I do not enjoy.

Because I have to. There's rules I have to follow.

Does spending time with campers really outweigh killing them for you?

Yes.

I can't fix everything. I can't make it all right. But at least I can make things a bit better for those who die here, in the time before their deaths.

I don't trust anyone else to not be cruel to the campers.

Someone a long, long time ago. Someone with good intentions but a terrible situation to deal with.

That situation was in the past. It's different now, but traces of what had to happen then are still around.

Because Dan was obsessed with it and appears to be made of it. They found what looked like a piece of it rooted in Soma's brain, too.
